Fun Center Suzuki Seattle Race Report
Team Fun Center Suzuki was excited to be back at the races after an eight week break in the West Coast Lites Supercross Series. In timed qualifying at Qwest Field Cole Seely rode to 14th, Brady Sheren was 30th and Michael Lapaglia was 34th. After the finish of the first practice Lapaglia came back to the transporter very sick from the 24 hour bug. He rode only a couple laps of the second practice and decided to rest up for his heat race.
Seely, Lapaglia and Sheren were all in heat race one. Seely spun his rear wheel off the gate and got a last place start. He quickly started moving forward until a fall in a corner on lap three. He went on to finish twelfth. Sheren also started near the back and worked his way up to fourteenth. Lapaglia finished eighteenth and still feeling ill decided it was best to call it a night.
In the LCQ Sheren got a great start on the inside and came around the first turn in third. He made a few mistakes on the first lap and went on to finish seventh. Seely again got a terrible start and finished a disappointing ninth.
“It was a very disappointing weekend for everyone involved,” stated team manager Gregg Lynk. “We will regroup and focus on the last West Coast Lites race this coming weekend.”
The Fun Center Suzuki Teams next event will be in Salt Lake City’s Rice Eccles Field this coming weekend.
