NEW YORK - The AST Dew Tour today announced the freestyle motocross finals held at Orlando's PlayStationâ Pro will be televised live on Spike TV, Sunday, October 19 from 12:30-2 p.m. ET.

The live Spike TV broadcast will feature the top names in freestyle motocross vying for coveted Dew Cup, which will be awarded to the overall points champion in Orlando.

"We are excited to showcase the event as it happens to more than 96 million homes worldwide," said Wade Martin, AST president. "The Spike audience is a great fit for the Dew Tour and we are excited to bring them the best in freestyle motocross."

Currently leading the points standings in freestyle motocross is Adam Jones, with 165 points. Trailing only five points behind is Blake Williams, at 160. Two-time Dew Cup champion Nate Adams is fourth in the points standings, at 140. It could be anyone's game in Orlando, and viewers can tune in to the action as it happens.

"It means a lot to our sport as a whole to get the huge national exposure that this will offer," said Nate Adams, FMX athlete and two-time Dew Cup champion. "This gives us a platform to show the world the intense level of competition that we bring to the Dew Tour events. Everyone is gunning for the Dew Cup so there will be no holding back in Orlando."

In May, the AST announced a wide-ranging strategic partnership between NBC Sports and MTV Networks as co-owners of the AST. This broadcast marks the AST's first broadcast on Spike TV. The Dew Tour can also be seen on NBC Sports, USA Network, Fuel TV, MTV, MTV2, Eurosport2, Extreme Channel, and Fox Sports Australia. Check you local listings for dates and times.

Currently in its fourth year, the AST Dew Tour is the most watched and attended action sports property in the world.  Attendance for the 2007 AST Dew Tour totaled 280,000 and an average of 41 million viewers tuned in via NBC and USA each year. The top athletes in the world will take part in this year's Tour, all competing for the highly coveted Dew Cup that will be awarded in Orlando at season's end to champions in each of the six disciplines. The 2007 Dew Cup winners include Nate Adams (Freestyle Motocross), Jamie Bestwick (BMX Vert), Ryan Nyquist (BMX Dirt), Daniel Dhers (BMX Park), Shaun White (Skateboard Vert) and Ryan Sheckler (Skateboard Park).
