Bridgestone Riders Lead Motocross Championships
After two of 12 events in the AMA motocross championships, Bridgestone riders lead both the Motocross and the Motocross Lites points battles.
James Stewart, riding a Bridgestone-shod Kawasaki has a perfect score for the first two events. Stewart had convincing victories in both motos at the first event at the opening Glen Helen event. This past weekend in Hangtown, Stewart put in a repeat performance, again taking wins in both motos. Stewart now has a 20 point lead over his team-mate, Tim Ferry, for the 2008 championship.
Meanwhile in the Lites division, Ryan Villopoto, also riding a Bridgestone-shod Kawasaki, has wins in three of the first four motos. Villopoto, a Pro_Circuit rider, now has a nine point lead in the championship, over Bridgestone-shod Suzuki rider, Ryan Dungey.
