MX Sports Congratulates Trey Canard
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April, 21 2008) – MX Sports, producers of the 2008 AMA Air Nautiques Amateur National Championship Finals are proud to congratulate 2007 AMA Horizon Award winner Trey Canard on his first professional championship, the 2008 AMA Eastern Region Supercross Lites Championship. Canard is only eight months removed from winning the MX Lites A and MX Lites A Pro Sport classes at Loretta Lynn’s. The young Oklahoma native won the first three supercross main events of his career and then won the final round in St. Louis, defeating 2005 AMA Horizon Award Winner Ryan Villopoto to take his fourth main event win of the season and claim the highly coveted AMA #1 plate.

The qualifying season for the 2008 AMA/Air Nautiques Amateur Nationals got underway February 22, and the (52) Area Qualifiers will conclude on May 18. Step two of the qualifying process will be the (12) Regional Championships which will run from May 24 through June 22. The 27th Annual Air Nautiques AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship will be held July 27 through August 3 at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.
