AMA Texas Winter Series Kicks Off Dec 1-2
Wortham, Texas (November 28, 2007) - Freestone County Raceway (FCR) is proud to announce several sponsorship programs for this years 8th Annual Honda of Houston / FMF AMA Texas Winter Series.
FMF will again be awarding each amateur class champion with a one year contract. The series also is supported by the BELL GOLDEN HELMET Award, SCOTT USA SILVER GOGGLE Award and the RENTHAL BRONZE BAR Award. The Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be based on the riders with the most accumulative points plus the number of entries in each class entered. Each rider can compete in as many classes possible in order to accumulate points. The Vet classes will all be competing for the ALPINESTARS VET HORIZON Award. Also TEAM VFM will be giving away two Holeshot practice gates to the Girls and Womens Amateur champions. Below is the description of each award.
GOLD - Two free Bell helmets (plus one replacement if needed)
plus a one year contract direct with BELL.
SILVER - Eight free pair of Scott USA goggles (four at the end of series, four 6 months later)
plus a one year contract direct with SCOTT USA.
BRONZE - Two pair of Renthal handlebars
plus a one year contract direct with Renthal.
The HoH/FMF series kicks off this weekend, December 1-2 on Freestone's amateur track. With four rounds at four tracks, the series boast over $450,000 in factory & product contingency. Regardless of where riders finish, the series is touted as the "Largest, Richest, Roughest, Toughest, Funnest MX series in Texas."

Rd 2 - Jan 5-6, 2008 - FCR (National track)
Rd 3 - Jan 26-27, 2008 - Oakhill MX Park
Rd 4 - Feb 23-24, 2008 - Lake Whitney MX Park
