Shane Watts Wins Rd. 2 of Central American Enduro Championship
Fun Mart Cycle/Maxxis/ktmhutt.com team rider Shane Watts made the pilgrimage to the country of Honduras to take victory in Rd. 2 of the Central American Enduro Championship held over the past weekend.
In dominating fashion Watts was able to distance himself from the best enduro pilots in Central America with a convincing victory. The race was held in perfect conditions, and was situated in the beautiful region known as “The Valley of the Angels”. Whilst there, Watts also conducted one of his 2-day Dirt Wise riding schools on the days preceding the event.
“What a magnificent country, and the people were so unreal. The race was no walk in the park for me as the locals really get on the gas. I actually had the two guys that got second and third in the race attend my Dirt Wise school so I definitely knew of how capable they were with the speed and skills. I certainly hope that I can get back down there again for another race soon, and to conduct another Dirt Wise school so as to hopefully raise their level of skill and competition.”
Since the start of July, Watts has conducted 6 of his Dirt Wise schools, with great attendance, and has a further 20 schools planned for the remainder of 2007, along with competing in the final five races of the GNCC.
