Supersports And Moto XXX Join Forces
Michigan-based extreme powersports dealer is on board with Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series’ long-running Honda privateer team
WATERFORD, Mich., (Feb. 13, 2007) – Supersports, Inc., a new Michigan-based extreme powersports dealership and promotional arm of the AMA Supermoto Championships, officially announced today its role as a title sponsor for the Moto XXX team competing in the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series.
Supersports’s owner Tom Zielinski, himself a competitive motocross and supermoto racer with deep roots in the industry’s retail business, said that the alignment with the successful California-based privateer Honda team will assist in Supersports’ national marketing plans.
“We’re housing it all here under one roof,” said Zielinski. “Everything from what we feel will be the industry’s standard in terms of performance suspension and motor modifications for our customers here in Michigan to unparalleled service both on the floor and with our extensive Internet-based showroom. We’re putting it all together – the old school shop service people wish they could still find, with new school luxuries for people all over North America and beyond.”
The massive undertaking will be headquartered in Waterford, Mich., with generations of extreme powersports enthusiasts central to the populated region that makes up the heart of the Motor City. Those within driving distance will benefit from a finely-tuned staff of expert level riders covering all the disciplines of motorcycles – street, motocross, off-road, pit bikes, ATV and supermoto, both recreational and racing.
And for the Internet service Supersports will provide, an extensive, easy-to-navigate ‘virtual catalog’ featuring all the top brands with competitive prices and free shipping will send Supersports to the front of the class in terms of motorcycle e-commerce.
“Moto XXX is pumped to align ourselves with a company like Supersports,” said Allan Brown, Team Manager for Moto XXX. “Tom Z’s got it together with everything he gets involved with. From the motorcycle retail businesses he’s built from the ground up, to the promotional ventures he’s recently undertaken – such as the Detroit Supermoto Round of the AMA Supermoto Championships – Moto XXX will provide a solid platform to promote his business on at a national level during the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series an Toyota AMA Motocross Championships this summer.”
Located at 4667 Dixie Highway in Waterford (Mich., 48329), Supersports will serve as a ‘destination hang out’ where a guy covered in dirt with a couple motocross bikes in the back of his pick up will feel just a welcome at the attorney who rolls in on a Harley. Outdoors and hunting ATV users to pit bike enthusiasts – there’s something for everybody at Supersports.
“It’s kind of like that ‘come one, come all’ mentality here,” said Zielinski. “I’ll have employees that run the gambit – a parts manager who can keep a ’69 Triumph Bonneville running to a guy running a Pastrana poster in his bedroom. Our goal locally is to be the hub of the Michigan powersports community!”
