Your Collection

This week's collection comes from Mick Varsava of Ontario, Canada:

The Man

"As all eyes have turned to the international racing scene, I thought it was appropriate to show a replica of a bike ridden by my favourite international rider of all time. I restored this to copy Roger DeCoster's Trans-AMA ride from the mid 70s. The bike was constructed from three ('76, '77, '78) basket case RM250s--NOS parts as well as aftermarket products. Restoration took one year and the motor was completely redone. The tank has the original paint and decals. Got to love those drum brakes. They sure enhance cornering speed. Here are some photos of the starting point, "The Man" back in the day, the replica, and another shot that you can figure out."
