Chad Johnson returns to his winning ways in Guthrie, OK Shawn
Clark receives gift from Travis Hodges for the AMA Arenacross Lites win
AURORA, Ill., (Jan. 20, 2006) Yamaha rider Chad Johnson beat
Honda rider Brock Sellards for the AMA Arenacross win at the Lazy E
Arena. Sellards got off to a good start with the Holeshot but
before lap one was complete Chad's Junior Jackson Yamaha passed him and
never looked back. Sellards stayed with him for several laps but
got caught in traffic and later went down in the toughest woops section
of the year. Sellards went on to finish second and team mate Jeff
Northrop finished third. The Guthrie crowd went crazy when local
Kawasaki rider, Chad Cook took the Holeshot in the AMA Arenacross Lites
class. He would eventually give way to Shawn Clark and Travis
Hodges and Dennis Jonon. Hodges passed Clark near the halfway
mark and started to check out before getting consumed in the woops
section handing the Unbound Energy Kawasaki another win.
