Speed Channel Renews Holigan Racing’s The Reality of Speed
SUPERCROSS LIFESTYLE PROGRAM FOLLOWS TEAM BOOKOO
SPEED Channel will renew the popular Supercross documentary reality
series The Reality of SPEED for 2006, positioning it as complementary
programming to the network’s recent acquisition of the Amp'd Mobile AMA
Supercross Series.
"We were pleased by the strong performance of The Reality of Speed
throughout its debut season on SPEED,” said Robert Ecker, SPEED VP of
Programming. “With our subsequent acquisition of the television
rights to both classes of the AMA Supercross Series, it made perfect
sense to extend the program for a second season."
New episodes of The Reality of SPEED, which takes viewers behind the
curtain at Holigan Racing’s Team BooKoo, will begin in February.
"We are ecstatic to be working with SPEED Channel and Clear Channel
Entertainment for another season of The Reality of Speed," said series
producer and team owner Michael Holigan. "This past season was
great, and with the Supercross race broadcasts moving to SPEED this
season, it will be even bigger and better."
SPEED’s coverage of AMA Supercross begins Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. ET from Toronto.
