Too Close for ComforT
Racer X contributor Ryder Yeckley thought he had the perfect spot for the second 250 moto start at Unadilla, on the outside of the first turn, down in the valley between track lanes. What he did not realize was the fact that no other photographers were in that area—they knew better. When the rapidly approaching first wave of the pack hooked elbows and handlebars, they missed the first turn completely and headed off the track, straight at young Ryder. Fortunately, he’s fast on his feet and got out of there before Landen Gordon (180), Julien Beaumer (13), Levi Kitchen (47), Michael Mosiman (23), or anyone else got too close. But Ryder was able to squeeze off a shot, as did a few others, including Brandon Croney and Scott Cavalari, who had different views of the mayhem.
