When the latest reboot of the FIM World Supercross Championship series goes off on October 26 at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, it will mark a return of international stadium racing there for the first time in nearly 20 years. Back in December of 2004 and ’05, hoping to make the FIM-required international rounds of what was then called the FIM Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP Series as easy as possible for the US-based teams, the supercross promoter (then called Clear Channel) decided to place them just north of the border in Canada rather than make everyone travel to Europe or anywhere else.
