- Privateer Profile Part II: Casey HinsonFebruary 3, 2011Casey Hinson #149 was a fully supported Suzuki amateur rider as a kid, had good consistent results at all the big amateur races and was on the fast track to a promising pro career. Once he turned pro, the support rides all fell thru and major injuries derailed his pro career.
- Privateer Profile: Bobby GarrisonFebruary 2, 2011Round one of the WORCS Series took place last weekend in Taft, Calif., and series veteran Bobby Garrison was one of the riders who lined up to do battle at Honolulu Hills. The event was shrouded by the sad and tragic news of Nathan Woods, who crashed and passed away in practice on Friday. Certainly the shocking loss of a such a well-respected racer weighed heavily on everyone’s mind at the opener—and will continue to.

- Privateer Profile Part II: Jimmy DeCotisJanuary 14, 2011A concept that has become more prevalent lately is replacement factory riders. The first of those in 2011 is Peabody, Massachusetts’ Jimmy DeCotis. Last season was his first as a full-time professional and Jimmy turned a lot of heads by posting some solid results in the 250 Class in both supercross and motocross. However, his results weren’t quite enough to earn him a full-factory ride, so DeCotis was going the privateer route again in 2011
