Confirmed: Jorge Prado Banged Up in Practice Crash
We can confirm that Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jorge Prado went down pretty hard while testing last week. He was absent from this week's Media Days in Anaheim, California. We now have contact from a source close to Prado and were able to get this information:
He hit his head pretty good but did not break any bones or suffer other injuries. He decided to take a few days off from riding and missed the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) media day at Angel Stadium but is already back to cycling. Jorge's team wants him to be 100 percent for Anaheim 1 next month so he took it easy and should be back on the motorcycle soon. He will probably begin riding again this coming week.
"I had a crash last week and hit my head and my arm," said Prado, who was supposed to fly to Spain for tonight's FIM Gala as the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship MXGP Champion.
We'll have more as this story develops.
