Pierce Brown made a big move following the end of the 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) season. The Utah native made his pro debut with the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull KTM team in June 2019 at the Florida National, finishing 12th overall with 14-10 moto finishes. Brown turned pro full-time in 2020 and then transitioned with the team as they became Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GasGas starting with the 2021 season.

Aboard a GasGas MC 250F, he scored a handful of podiums and showed glimpses here and there, then eventually picked up his first career win as he claimed the 250SMX overall win at the 2025 SMX Final in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a cool story as Brown picked up his first pro win in his final race with the team, which ended up being the final race for the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GasGas squad as a whole. The factory GasGas effort is now an in-house team.

For 2025, Brown has signed with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team. Set to debut his #20 Star Racing Yamaha YZ250F in '25, Brown and the team have expectations to be a championship contender.
