Casey Cochran (Knee Injury) Out for Remainder of SMX Playoffs
Husqvarna has announced Casey Cochran will sit out the final two rounds of the SMX Playoff rounds to finish off the SuperMotocross World Championship season. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider suffered a huge crash in qualifying last weekend and although he was able to get up on his own feet (with support from the Alpinestars medical crew) he did not start the motos as his day was over.

This afternoon, Husqvarna announced the rookie will sit out both this weekend’s round in Texas and the finale next weekend as well.
“Casey Cochran to sit out the next two SuperMotocross races as he recovers from a knee injury sustained during a crash in qualifying at the SMX in Charlotte.”
In his first full season as a pro, Cochran finished 13th in the 250 Class AMA Pro Motocross Championship, with a season-best third in moto two at the Spring Creek National. Cochran's 9-3 finishes that day earned the Florida native his first professional podium (third overall) back in mid-July. Cochran entered the playoffs 18th in 250SMX combined AMA Supercross and Motocross points, although he only raced three rounds of Monster Energy AMA Supercross after earning his pro license through the Supercross Futures program.
