Corona, Calif. – Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki is not going to slow down this weekend at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. After Christophe Pourcel clinched the AMA Supercross Lites Eastern Region championship last weekend, he is still hungry for another win. His teammate Dean Wilson is also looking to get back on the podium after a daring move on the last lap of the race in Houston backfired and he missed out on the podium.

Pourcel has had a stellar career in supercross lites competition winning two titles and finishing on the podium 15 times in 19 starts. He has two races remaining in that career and he isn’t ready to coast through them.

“I still have two more supercross lites races I want to win,” said Pourcel. “The only way I know how to ride is to go for the win. So that is what I’m going to do this weekend. It’s a shame Austin (Stroupe) got hurt because he and I were putting on some good shows.”

Wilson’s heartbreaking race in Houston has given him an even greater drive for the podium after going down in the whoop section and finishing ninth, missing out on his second podium finish of the year. The 18-year-old rider has the speed to get back on the box, and he is ready to raise another trophy.

“I really wanted to finish second,” said Wilson. “Missing those two races lit a fire in me and I wanted to do the best I could. I’m going to keep riding strong and hopefully get my best result of the year this weekend.”

All of the AMA Supercross Lites action from St. Louis can be seen Sunday, April 18 at 6:00 p.m. ET (3:00 p.m. PT.)
