LOS ANGELES, CA - FUEL TV, the only network dedicated to the lifestyle of action sports, announces the premiere of its newest series “Bubba’s World” on March 28, 2010 at 10:00pm ET/PT. This 10-episode series follows motocross champ James “Bubba” Stewart as he takes a break from his vigorous training and racing schedule and explores life as a “normal” 23 year old. The series, starring James and his family, also features his famous friends from the motocross world including freestyle pros Todd Potter and Nate Adams.
FUEL TV will also be premiering the fourth season of “New Pollution” on March 28, 2010 at 8:00pm ET/PT featuring more up and coming talent than ever before. A number of specials will also be premiering throughout the month of March, including the “Blue Carpet Special: Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D” featuring nine-time World Surf Champ Kelly Slater; “Insane Cinema: Shaun White Project X;” “Volcolm’s Blizzard Bizarre Tour;” “US Snowboarding Grand Prix” featuring Olympic athletes Shaun White, Kelly Clark, Gretchen Bleiler, Hannah Teter and Scotty Lago; “Gatorade Free Flow Tour Winter 2009;” “SPoT’s Tampa Am 2009;” and “Vans Triple Crown of Surfing 2009.”

Host and pro surfer Matt Beacham introduces viewers to the next generation of action sports heroes. The young guns, who are no older than 16, prove their skills on the hills, waves, and streets across the world. “New Pollution” has made history featuring riders who’ve landed endorsement deals and superstardom, ripping against pros two to three times their age including skateboarder Chaz Ortiz who won the 2008 overall title in the Dew Tour Street Skate division at age of 14; surfer Alana Blanchard who won the women’s Pipeline Pro twice and the Vans Hawaiian Pro in 2009; snowboarder Ellery Hollingsworth who got a third at this year’s Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix in Park City; and snowboarder Maddy Schaffrick who took first in both halfpipe and slopestyle at the USSA Revolution Tour Boreal stop in 2009.

At age 23, he is not only the highest paid rider pulling in more than $10 million a year, but also the only African American to dominate in an all-white sport. Insane Cinema: How the Northwest Was One – 9:30pm ET/PT
It’s 2012, and the economy has crashed completely. The snowboarding industry is non-existent, and snowboarding is brought back to the times of the Wild West. Outlaws and renegades struggle to survive in the mountains. In the Pacific Northwest there is a small band of riders who passion for riding and filming still fuels there will to live, and there is a bounty out to collect footage of these outlaws. But bounty filmers are few and far between, and the competition to film is deadly. Watch the riders push there skills to new levels, in a quest to film a video part. This film features the riding of Nick Ennen, Patrick McCarthy, Tim Carlson, Kurt Jenson, Andy Stern, Lucas Debari, Shaun Mckay and others.

Paul Mitchell Progression Session at Copper Mountain – 8:00pm ET/PT in Snow Pack
Stop number one of the Paul Mitchell Progression Session was a slopestyle/big-air snowboarding event held at Copper Mountain, Colorado, featuring the best snowboarders in the world. Boarders competed on a big air-to-rail combination and in the end, Jordan Phillips and Hana Beaman stomped their runs to take home the win.

Olympic Champions Shaun White (Carlsbad, CA) and Kelly Clark (Mt. Snow, VT) were killing it as usual as they landed runs to finish first at the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix - the first of five Olympic qualification events. Gretchen Bleiler (Aspen, CO) and Louie Vito (Sandy, UT) took the second spots for men and women, and Zack Black (Breckenridge, CO) and Spain’s Querat Castellet were third.

Ride Shakedown 2009 - 8:00p ET/PT in Meet & Brotatoes
Mont Saint-Sauveur Resort is welcoming the eighth edition of the RIDE Shakedown for what both the fans and the riders agree and the most exciting snowboard contest in the industry. For the fist time in eight years the ladies are invited to take part in the event and they will do what ever it takes to go down in history as the Shakedown inaugural female champion. Speaking of making history, will 2008 Winner Charles Reid succeed in holding on to his title for a second year in a row? Keep an eye out for 2006 winner Sebastien Toutant, Last year he threw down his signature move, the Tootsy roll, which put him in second place. Ultimately, 35 riders from all over the globe competed to see if they have what it takes to be crowned the champion.

Paul Mitchell Progression Session Telluride – 8:00pm ET/PT in Snow Pack
It was a hot day on the SBX course for the U.S. as the team of Lindsey Jacobellis (Stratton, VT) and Faye Gulini (Salt Lake City) took first, and Nate Holland (Squaw Valley, CA) and Nick Baumgartner (Iron River, MI) second at the Visa Snowboardcross Cup team SBX event in Telluride. In the team SBX format, national teams of two race each other. Four racers go down the course and once they cross the finish line, a sensor drops the gate of their teammate and the racing ensues till the first athlete crosses the finish line.
The Olympic silver medalist Jacobellis, who aced each of her heats, was teamed up with newcomer Gulini who, at just 17, was able to hold off world-class competitors for the Team win.

After securing a first place finish at Copper Mountain, 2006 Olympic gold medalist Shaun White looks to book a ticket to Vancouver by landing on the podium at the Mammoth Grand Prix. However, White’s not guaranteed anything as he’ll face a handful of progressive snowboarders who’ve gone on to perfect his game-changing Double-Cork, including the always threatening Louie Vito and Danny Davis. Olympic Silver medalist Gretchen Bleiler also looks to improve her Vancouver prospects by placing high at the event, but she’ll have to duel with the likes of the ever-improving Elena Hight and the recently recovered Hannah Teter.

Chaz Guldemond, Tyler Flanagan, Brett Esser, Spencer Link, Ryan Stassel battled it out on rails, kickers, and gaps on the third stop of the Paul Mitchell Progression Session. Cab 9s, Back 12s, Gap to 50/50, and Rodeos were seen all the way down the course in what was a truly exciting event. The women saw heightened competition from the likes of Jamie Anderson, Isabelle Lalive, Molly Wilson, Lynn Neil, and Kaitlyn Farrington.

The Visa U.S. Snowboardcross Cup was held on December 19 at Telluride, Colorado. This event is part of the international LG FIS Snowboardcross Series that are the Olympic Qualifiers for the Snowboardcross Team in Vancouver. 2002 Olympic Halfpipe Gold Medalist Ross Powers achieved the third spot on the podium as he tries to compete in his third Olympic Games. Seth Wescott, Nate Holland and Lindsey Jacobellis did not fair as well but continue to ride strong in their quest to bring home hardware from Vancouver in February.
