Dragon Racing Fuels Strong at Lake Whitney
Dragon Race Fuels had a great week in Texas at Lake Whitney and to start things off we are going to give the run down on the motos. Lake Whitney as you know was forced to deal with Mother Nature several days of the event. The track crew did an awesome job of working the track into shape. Riders were given a prime track to race on and the results show that we had some great battles. Dragon Racing Fuel riders were able to leave Lake Whitney with 6 titles, 18 top five, and 31 top ten finishes. Here is the way the results came in from Whitney.
In the women 14 plus class it was the #124 Yamaha of Alexah Pearson from Rocklin CA. with the championship. The 450 B mod Class had Tanner Krahenbuhl from Las Vegas NV showing that he could run the pace with front runners by posting a 2nd place finish in moto one and then faced a tough second moto with a 32nd finish. Tanner finished 24th overall. The 51 4-6 stock oil inj. class we watched Dylan Duclos from Whitewater WI ride to 9th place finish. It was then the Honda of Houston standout Kyle Regal that finished 2nd the fast paced 450A class. The 85 mod class had the Rock River rider of Benny Bloss with a strong 8th place finish and the Champion Cycles rider of Alexander Frye with a 14th place finish with his 5th and 17th moto finishes. The stacked class of the 250B stock class was one of the best classes to watch. Dragon Fuels had Red Bull rider Brandon Mays from Lancaster NY finish with a strong 3rd place finish along with Honda of Houston rider Brad Frace with a 10 place finish and another Red Bull rider #176 Joey Savatgy on an unknown brand in 12th place. We watch the Vet 35 expert unfold with Ryan Hughes from Ryno Land get tangled with a lap rider and have to settle for 2nd place only to come back in the Junior 25 expert and the Vet 30 Expert class and dominate to win 2 more titles under the Honda of Houston rig. The 85 12-13 stock class had #126 Connor Pearson in 4th place, #431 Daniel Baker showing speed on his Champion Cycles KTM with a 5th place first moto and slipping to a 20th place second moto and a 16th overall. #26 Cole Varty also ran some solid laps on his Champion Cycles KTM. The Schoolboy 2 14-16 class shinned with Honda of Houston riders Lance Vincent from Youngsville LA finished a strong 4th place and the #519 of Brad Frace in 9th. Alexander Spade was fast in his first moto just missing the top ten with an 11th place finish. The 450 A Prosport class had Kyle Regal in 2nd place the new Rock River rider Drew Yenerich showing he is getting up to speed on his new bikes with an 8th place finish. 85 stock 9-11 had Alexander Frye taking the overall and winning his first national title of 2009. Benny Bloss finished 2nd overall in the contested battle of Frye and Bloss. 85 mod 12-13 it was Connor Pearson with a 7th place finish and Cole Varty along with Daniel Baker posting great first moto scores. They both were off with their second motos. Many of the riders had this problem of putting two solid motos together. The track claimed some of the best riders. Look for these two riders to improve as the season progresses. The 250 A Prosport class had Drew Yenerich coming out swinging and putting his new ride to the front. Drew Finished up the class with a 4, 7 moto score for 5th overall. Kyle Regal finished inside the top ten with a 9th place finish. The Schoolboy 1 12-15 class had Brad Frace and Joey Savatgy posting solid finishes. Frace finished 4th and Savatgy was 6th. The 450open class Kyle Regal would not be denied his quest for a title. Regal finished first to take home the 450 open championship. The super mini 2 14-16 class had the fast improving MTF rider of Dakota Alix from Jay VT finishing a solid 6th. Kyle Regal again finished the 250 open class with another top ten finish. Red Bull rider Joey Savatgy posted a solid 4th place in the 250B mod class. Jonathan Foskey on his Champion Cycles KTM is quickly showing some top speed with 13 and 11 moto scores which was good enough for 17th overall in the stacked class of the 250B mod. The Womens Expert class was won by Jessica Patterson and second went to Jacqueline Strong. Both one and two positions went under the Honda of Houston rig. The four stroke class it was Regal with a solid 3rd. Junior Mini 9-11 it was Alexander Frye 6th and Benny Bloss 8th. The 450 B stock class had Tanner Krahenbuhl showing he has what it takes to run up front in the first moto with a 2nd place finish. Tanner like many other riders was not able to take advantage of his first moto score and finished 22 his second moto. Watch for Tanner on his HHR bike to be upfront in 2009.
Dragon Racing Fuels would like to congratulate each of these riders and we look forward to working with each of them and all our Dragon Racing Fuel riders in the future. Dragon Racing Fuels – Fueling Your Passion!
