Valli Motorsports Team Introduction

  • Valli Motorsports Team Introduction
  • Bobby Bonds WORCS #1 will be on a Valli Motorsports Honda in 2009.
  • Team founder Chad Lanza introduces Team Manager Charles Halcomb.
San Jose, CA - Valli Motorsports hosted an introduction/party for their new Off Road Racing team last week at their new facility just outside of San Jose, California. Founder Chad Lanza pulled out all the stops to host industry, sponsors and other notables in a lavish good time that included great food and drink for the hundreds of attendants. In addition to the great spread, festivities included tours of the race shop, viewing of the facility’s large antique race-car collection, and the official introduction of the team.

The team was introduced by Team Manager Charles Halcom and will include 2008 WORCS Champion Bobby Bonds, WORCS contenders Bobby Garrison and Kyle Summers. Also introduced were Team Trainer/Coach Steve Hatch and his wife Denise and Valli Motorsports Team Founder Chad Lanza. Lanza  is a successful business-man, off road racer and rampant enthusiast who created the team to get involved at the highest level of the sport he has enjoyed his whole life, Off Road racing.

Riding Honda’s, The three man team consisting of Bobby Bonds,  Bobby Garrison and Kyle Summers will be compete in the 2009 WORCS series and select high visibility Off Road events for the 2009 season under the Valli Motorsports banner with support from incoming sponsors such as Dunlop and FMF. Expect to see the Valli Motorsports Team at the first two GNCC events in Florida, several EnduroCrosses and even some AMA National Motocross events.

How will this new team fair in the 2009 Off Road season? Consider this, Bonds is the WORCS Champion via a string of second place finishes (six in nine races) and two victories. Most of those races Bonds led, but crashed himself out of the win and still came back for second place. Of those races that Bonds “lost” Garrison won two and was leading the points before he got hurt. Summers also has the speed to win, he led several races in 2008 but had bikes break underneath him. Considering that all three riders will be on top equipment, there is a good chance that the Valli Motorsports Team could not only win a lot of races, they might even sweep the podium on several occasions.

Good luck to Valli Motorsports and to all factory, Support and Privateer efforts in the 2009 Off Road season and thanks to Chad Lanza for supporting the sport.
