  • Ashley Fiolek to Appear at ASL Expo
Pebble Beach, CA – AMA/WMA Champion and Honda rider, Ashley Fiolek will appear at the American Sign Language (ASL) Expo at the Western New York Event Centre in Buffalo, New York on Saturday November 1 as a guest of her personal sponsor T-Mobile Sidekick.  Born profoundly deaf, Ashley will be a featured presenter and tell her story to show attendees as an athlete whose deafness did not stand in the way of her becoming the nation’s top women’s motocross racer.

Ashley will also be meeting with show attendees and signing autographs in the T-Mobile Sidekick display.  The exhibit will feature an all-new T-Mobile video of Ashley in action on her Honda and have her CRF250R race machine on display as well.

The newly turned 18-year-old from St. Augustine, Florida commented, “I have always wanted to tell my story and encourage the Deaf that they can accomplish anything they want to if they set goals and work hard.  I am thankful that T-Mobile Sidekick has given me the opportunity to do this.”

Ashley will also be appearing at the ASL Expo at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlborough, Maryland on November 15.  For more information on the ASL Expos, visit www.aslexpo.com.

About Ashley Fiolek
Born profoundly deaf, Ashley began riding and racing motorcycles at age seven and worked her way up through the amateur Motocross ranks. In 2004, at the age of 13, she won her first national championship at the Air Nautiques AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn’s. Between 2005 and 2007 she went on to win 12 more national championships and has won more than 100 races in her career so far. Ashley is supported by American Honda, Red Bull, T-Mobile Sidekick, Alpinestars, Vans, RXR and Pirelli.  For more information about Ashley, see: www.ashleyfiolek.com.

Ashley made her professional debut in September 2007 and in her first full season of professional competition she won the 2008 Women’s Motocross Association Championship, the premier women’s motorcycle series and the only professional women’s motorsport series in the U.S. For more information on the WMA, see: www.womensmotocrossassociation.com.
