  • Kevin Harvick Inc. Enters Talladega ARCA Race with Ricky Carmichael
KERNERSVILLE, N.C.-- Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) has entered driver Ricky Carmichael for the October 3 ARCA RE/MAX 250 race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. It would mark Carmichael’s first ARCA start and his first race in a KHI entry. Carmichael will participate in ARCA’s test at the 2.66-mile Alabama speedway this week.

Carmichael, 28, of Tallahassee, Fla., is currently eighth in the NASCAR Camping World East Series point standings in his rookie season. After 11 races, Carmichael has three top-five and six top-10 finishes plus one pole position driving for Ken Schrader Racing.

Attempting to make his mark in the world of stock car racing, Carmichael is world-renowned as the most successful motocross racer in American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) history. He has five Supercross championships, 10 national outdoor championships and a total of 150 professional race victories, including multiple titles in the worldwide Motocross-of-Nations event. Carmichael also recently won X Games gold medals in Moto X racing and step-up competition. Among his many accomplishments include being the first rider to record an undefeated season in the AMA National Outdoor Championships, winning 24 motos without a defeat in the 250cc category in 2002 and again in 2004.

Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI), established in 2001, is a 70,000 sq. ft. facility located in Kernersville, N.C. KHI houses two full-time Truck Series teams, including the 2007 series champions: the No. 33 Camping World/VFW Chevrolet Silverado driven by three-time Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday as well as the No. 2 American Commercial Lines/RVs.com Chevrolet Silverado driven by three-time Truck Series champion Jack Sprague. KHI is also home to the No. 33 Camping World/Rheem Chevrolet competing full-time in the Nationwide Series, with drivers Kevin Harvick (a two-time Nationwide Series champion), Hornaday and Cale Gale. The 2008 season marks KHI’s fifth year of full-time competition in NASCAR’s elite divisions. Visit www.kevinharvickinc.com for more information.
