JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha Anaheim 2 Supercross Re-Cap
Well the weather was a lot better for this Anaheim than it was during the last one. Live Nation had a tribute to 1986 for Anaheim 2, it was really fun. All of the Live Nation staff dressed up in 80s styles, and we ran custom helmets for Josh and Charles for the occasion.

Many of the top riders of the era were on hand to sign autographs. David Bailey and Rick Johnson even rode a lap around the track perimeter for the crowd.
Josh Hansen’s dad Donnie “Holeshot” Hansen was one of the top riders of the 80s, and Josh had “Holeshot” on the back of his helmet to honor the former champion and now motocross school instructor.

Coach Gibbs was at Anaheim with us, and was impressed with his first Supercross. He was busy giving interviews, talking with fans, and meeting people from the industry. We had a wide variety of visitors; even the Metal Mulisha hung out for a while and were a big hit with young fans.

The race went well. Both riders transferred directly to the main from the heat races. Hansen finished third in his heat race, and eighth in the main, which makes him tied for 10th in series points. Summey finished 10th in the main. Both riders are continuing to work hard and want to improve. We encountered some winter weather in the Carolinas this week and are heading south to train.

We have been fortunate to obtain the support of some great sponsors. Toyota and Yamaha have both been incredibly helpful and we would not be racing without them. Our associate sponsors have been awesome as well. We want to share a sincere thank you to everyone that has helped us, and the fans that have been encouraging us.

We just added a new photo gallery and several new videos to our website,
www.jgrmx.com, check it out. There is an interview with Coach Gibbs, an MTV style tour of our semi we call “Rigs,” an overview of Cycra plastic from Glen Laivins (owner) and James Priestnal (general manager), and a glimpse of what it was like in our pits at Anaheim 2. Thanks for reading.
