So. Cal. University Health Center Supports Freestyle MX World C'ship

Whittier CA, October 24, 2007: The University Health Center's Department of Sports Medicine in conjunction with "2 The Rescue" extreme medical group provided emergency care, chiropractic and soft tissue treatment, and taping services at the 2007 LG Action Sports Championship of Freestyle Motocross (FMX) in the fairgrounds of Pomona, CA on September 28-29, 2007.
Craig Kawaoka, DC, discusses the significance of the project: "This event provided us an opportunity to deal with professional athletes in FMX as treating doctors and first responders. The residents worked closely with an extreme medical group known as "2 The Rescue" and developed a working relationship for future events."
The event is tentatively scheduled to be aired on CBS on November 18, at 5:00 PM EST. Information can also be found here.
