DMXS Tonight
The AMA Toyota Motocross season is over and the riders and teams have an entire three days off before the long grind of supercross testing begins. We will wrap up the season with Jeff Emig and Michael Byrne who will be joining us for some La Salsa’s world famous burritos, then in the studio for the show. Fro has been preparing for his race at the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open and riding at Byrner’s place which he affectionately refers to as the "Southern Outback." After looking back on a great racing series, we will shift gears and take a ride down memory lane with several MXoN veterans as the sport’s focus will be on Budds Creek and the international race that awaits us all.
It's hurricane season and Bob Hannah will surely stir up some shit. Bob is a fan favorite and we enjoy his candor on a whole range of topics. His much, much, much better half Terri has created and launched www.bobhannah.com for some cool swag, stories, and classic pictures. Check out the latest incarnation of Hannah Racing Products and get a taste of what old-school really was. We will ask Bob if he plans on running for Senate after the unfortunate resignation of Idaho’s current elected official. That oughta get things started.
David Bailey is officially a co-host on our show. His insight and perspective over the last seven years are the foundation that we stand on. He has been a great friend and we look forward to hearing some classic MXoN stories from his travels.
Josh Hill told me a few weeks ago how well he was riding the 450 and could not wait to show the skeptics that have used his season as forum-board fodder. Josh had some impressive finishes on the big bike and will check in and tell us what his future plans are as he chills with his woman and top WMA racer, Vanessa Florentino, in New Mexico. (Those would be some fast-ass kids if they had some.)
Nick Wey is still on the mend from a severe concussion and will call in to give us the latest on his recovery and whatever else he has been up to. We love our boy Nick and want to show him some love as he takes the appropriate time off after a head injury. Are you paying attention out there kids and parents?
Ryan Hughes is up North taping a show for MTV but has a few moments between hair and makeup to spend with us. He was part of the winning MXoN team in 2000, but knows the heartache of failure at that race too, and will share some stories tonight.
