  • Sportnet and Racer X Partner for AMA MX Series

Los Angeles, CA. – May 9, 2007: – Wasserman Media Group’s Sportnet has signed a two-year deal with Racer X Illustrated, becoming the exclusive digital content partner for the AMA Toyota Motocross Series, the world’s premier outdoor motocross championship.

“The AMA Toyota Motocross Series is at a pivotal point this summer, and Racer X and Motocross.com have joined forces to take online coverage to a whole new level for fans all over the world,” said Racer X founder Davey Coombs. “It’s Ricky’s last hurrah, James Stewart’s chance to take over, and Ryan Villopoto versus pretty much everyone in the Lites division. We want to give this series and the riders the coverage they deserve online, and Racer X teaming up with Motocross.com—and working hand-in-hand with SPEED TV—is the right way to do it.”

Through this partnership, Sportnet’s www.motocross.com will air a live audio webcast and real-time scoring for all races and events. Racer X will provide specialty race programming that will include a pre-season preview, Saturday evening preview shows from all 12 events, live race-day audio webcasting, post-race highlight shows, and off-weekend programs that will include exclusive race highlights and behind-the-scenes footage. Also, Motocross.com will host the critically acclaimed MX Sportscenter all week long from the 2007 AMA/Air Nautiques Amateur National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in August, plus the AMA Team USA presentation show prior to the 2007 Motocross of Nations at Budds Creek. Each show will include the comprehensive and exclusive coverage of the pits, paddocks, practice, racing highlights and event press conferences.

“This is the ideal partnership to kick off live events on motocross.com, and we are thrilled to be working with Racer X, the AMA and SPEED TV to enable motocross fans to access the entire series along with highlights and specialty programming online,” stated David Brooks, vice president, Business Development, WMG.

Motocross.com’s coverage of the AMA Motocross Championship Series kicks off next week with the Racer X series preview show, then Saturday evening’s pre-race show from Sacramento, CA, and then Sunday night’s wrap-up from Hangtown. Log on to www.motocross.com or www.racerxill.com for additional race information.
