  • Progressive’s HoleshotHeaven.com Goes Big

AURORA, Ill. (February 23, 2007) – As a national sponsor of Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series, The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies, the nation's largest motorcycle and third largest car insurance group, is enjoying success on their recently introduced HoleshotHeaven.com — a new Web site for the millions of Amp’d Mobile Supercross racing enthusiasts across the country.

"As the Official Insurance of Amp’d Mobile Supercross and sponsor of the holeshot award, we're thrilled to bring HoleshotHeaven.com to supercross fans," said Miriam Deitcher, director of advertising, Progressive. "On the site, fans will find content they can't get anywhere else like streaming video of every holeshot this season — updated after each race — and exclusive videos of top supercross riders showing off their extensive personal car collections. Right now, fans can check out the sweet rides of Nathan Ramsey, Josh Hansen and Ryan Hughes, with more videos to be added throughout the season."

The site, named for the holeshot, or early lead in a race, features interactive 3-D track maps, exclusive behind-the-scenes event photos, a blog by Steve Bruhn and the Amp’d Mobile Supercross tour 2007 event and broadcast schedule. New content will be added weekly throughout the season.

For the rookie supercross fan, HoleshotHeaven.com offers Superpedia: A-Z, an alphabetized listing of supercross fun facts and terms. There's also a sweepstakes that fans can enter weekly for a chance to win prizes including a trip for two to the 2007 Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open in Las Vegas.

In October 2006, Progressive, the Official Insurance of Amp'd Mobile Supercross, announced that it is returning as the official sponsor of the Holeshot award for the 2006-2007 Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross series, the world's premier off-road motorcycle racing series. As the holeshot sponsor, Progressive will award prize money to the riders who get the holeshot in each race. This is Progressive's second consecutive year as a sponsor.
