For the third race in a row, Ryan Villopoto was the fastest Lites rider on the track. In fact, his lap time would’ve been the third best in the Supercross class! The result was another win for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki pilot.

Biggest surprise: Team MB1/Deluge Water’s Kyle Partridge. After failing to qualify at Anaheim 1 (you probably saw his big get-off on the triple in his heat race), Partrige rebounded nicely at A2 with his first top 10 of the season. His lap times were within one second of sixth place, so keep an eye on him.

Sorry, no surprises as to who was fastest in the Supercross class at Anaheim 2. Some wondered how Stewart would react without RC pushing him. Well, the answer is the same: Stewart laid the fastest time of the night, with Reed nailing the second fastest, about four-tenths of a second slower than Stewart’s best. Team MDK Motorsport’s Nick Wey was third fastest, resulting in his first podium of the season.

Biggest surprise: Moto XXX’s Josh Summey. After failing to make the main event at the first two rounds, Summey showed sheer focus and determination at this second Anaheim round and posted impressive laps throughout the night. Summey’s best lap time was actually within a second of Tim Ferry, Kevin Windham and Mike Byrne’s fastest times. That’s impressive for a semi-privateer.
