Mike Metzger-Coached FMX Duo Top Fives @ LG World Championships
Metz’s protégés Wiley Fullmer and Jeremy Lusk go 4th/5th
CARLSBAD, Calif., (Oct. 4, 2006) – Monster Energy-backed Wiley
Fullmer and Jeremy Lusk both rocketed into the top five of the
$100,000 LG World Championships of Freestyle Motocross held recently at Southern California’s Grandstand Infield of the LA County Fair.
Fullmer and Lusk – who train under the watchful eye of Monster
Energy’s Mike Metzger – have done quite well competing this summer and capped it off with a solid effort this past weekend in Pomona.
“My guys flat out ripped,” said Metzger. “I’m proud as heck of
them. They’ve been training their brains out at my compound and
their work is paying off with top five results.
Fullmer, 4th, mixed an aggressive run with numerous tricks –
including a number of back flip variations – scoring a 86.20. And
Lusk was not that far behind in the scoring, coming in at 85.40 in
his top run to take 5th overall.
Next up is the final round of the LG Action Sports World
Championships in Dallas (Oct. 27-29). Note: The FMX portion of the
event will be a demo.
