  • Fans Can Bowl with Supercross & Motocross Stars in the WMXF Third Annual MotoBowl

ANAHEIM, Calif., (Aug. 24, 2006) – The Women’s Motocross & Supercross Foundation (WMXF) announced today that the Third Annual MotoBowl presented by Monster Energy will once again allow SX and MX fans to bowl with their favorite riders while raising money for a good cause on the Thursday prior to the final round of AMA Toyota Motocross at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Calif.

Participating SX/MX celebrities include seven-time AMA SX Champion Jeremy McGrath, Yamaha’s Chad Reed, Sobe Samsung Honda’s Kevin Windham, Makita Suzuki’s Ivan Tedesco, seven-time combined SX/MX Champion Rick Johnson, Racer X Illustrated Editor-in-Chief Davey Coombs, SX announcer Erin Bates and many more.

Thirty-eight teams of six bowlers each will be determined by EBay bidding.  The seven-day auctions opened on Aug. 21.  Scheduled for Sept. 7, MotoBowl will be held at Concourse Bowl in Anaheim, Calif.  Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and general admission spectator tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door.  Ticket price includes admission to the event, dinner, arcade games and a front seat to this limited-access party.  There will be rider interviews, a DJ and one of a kind silent auction items.

“MotoBowl is our primary fundraising event,” said the WMXF’s Antoinette Gress.  “MotoBowl leads into the Glen Helen National and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate the last AMA Motocross race of the season.  The money that is raised is distributed to numerous riders, industry workers and as always the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit.  With so many talented riders and industry celebrities participating, we know we’ll surpass last year’s amount.”

The WMXF is a non-profit organization (501 c3) founded in 2003 to enhance the motocross & supercross racing community.  WMXF's mission is to support racers or crew members who suffer racing injury; provide support to those who suffer serious misfortune; provide financial support to benevolent organizations; and contribute to the well-being of families in the professional motocross/supercross community.
