CARLSBAD, Calif., (May 29, 2006) – Unbound Energy-backed racers were on the podium and spread consistently through out the top of the Motocross class at High Point Raceway this past weekend, Round Two of the 2006 Toyota AMA Motocross Championships.
With no less than four Unbound-backed racers in the top 12, Unbound was led by Yamaha’s Chad Reed who scored his second-straight podium finish (2-2 for 2nd overall). Next up in the standings for Unbound was MDK Motorsports’ Nick Wey. The Michigan Mafia member blazed to a 5th place finish overall, going 5-6 on the afternoon.
“Always a good time racing at High Point,” said Wey. “I’ve
been coming here since I was a kid and it’s definitely one of my
favorite tracks to race at all year.”
Surprising some of the experts with two top ten finishes so far this
year has been Unbound/Moto XXX’s Josh Summey. The North Carolina native pulled off a 10th at Hangtown last week, then upped the ante with an 8th place finish (8-9) at High Point this past Sunday.
Unbound/Moto XXX’s Kyle Lewis also represented well, placing 12th
overall (13-11) to give Unbound four racers in the top 12 – the most
out of any energy drink!
All of the Unbound Energy-backed athletes returns to action for Round Three of the 2006 Toyota AMA Motocross Championship at Motocross 338 in Southwick, Mass. (June 11).
