U.S. Air Force To Sponsor Amp’d Mobile Supercross
AURORA, Ill. (January 24, 2006) – The United States Air Force has been named an official sponsor of the 2006 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series which debuted its fan-friendly sponsorship program at the first Anaheim race at Angel Stadium.
The sponsorship is a perfect fit for the U.S. Air Force, which will benefit from the sport’s popularity among the younger generation, and will provide an excellent opportunity to interact with the sport of supercross in a multi-faceted program that integrates a national marketing and advertising plan with on-site fan interaction.
“We’re extremely proud to bring the U.S. Air Force into the supercross family,” said Ken Hudgens, vice president of marketing for Amp’d Mobile Supercross. “In addition to an outstanding marketing and advertising package that includes CBS TV spots, supercross gives the Air Force the opportunity to interact with their core demographic, the 18-24 male, in an ideal setting.”
The sponsorship package will include prominent on-site displays and interactive kiosks, including the “Cross Into The Blue Tour,” which features an actual F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, several aircraft simulators and a Special Ops Jumper virtual reality game that simulates a parachute jump. Local recruiting squadrons will also be on-site to talk to young men and women about careers in the air force.
