Reason For Being
By any measure Haiden Deegan is having himself quite a first season as a professional. The Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing teenager finished second in the 250SX East Region behind only the veteran Hunter Lawrence, and he’s now battling Lawrence for the 250 AMA Pro Motocross Championship going into the final three rounds of the series as of press time. The rider known growing up as “Dangerboy” got his first two wins at RedBud and Washougal and will likely be Team USA’s MX2 rider at the upcoming FIM Motocross of Nations in France. Add it all up and Haiden Deegan is a lock for the AMA Pro Motocross Rookie of the Year Award, named after the late Marty Smith.
