The Flying Machine Factory is celebrating its 50th Year Anniversary in 2023 and what better way to honor half a century than building the ultimate two-stroke off-road bike. FMF built its name in the So Cal race scene in 1973 being known as one of the best to hop up dirt bikes and win championships with the likes of guys like Ray Lopez, Marty Smith, and Danny Laporte. Not much has changed over the last half a century. FMF still produces all of their exhaust in-house in their Southern California manufacturing facility with owner and founder Don Emler still at the helm of horsepower. FMF is a family run business so when Don Emler Jr. reached out to us to test his latest off-road build to celebrate their 50th anniversary, we jumped at the opportunity. Donny chose the 2023 Husqvarna TE 300 as the platform for this build since the 300cc Austrian machines are truly an unbelievable platform to start with for the trails. The Emlers truly embody the passion for all things two wheels and look to the future to continue to enjoy the sport and continuing to build one of the biggest iconic brands in the motorsports industry. It was a really cool experience to see Lil D’s eyes light up once this Husqvarna was fired up to go for a ride. FMF teamed up with Rob Vaughan and Jake Hobbs to make this build happen.
