shimoda
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Jo Shimoda has been on a steady career trajectory ever since he moved to the U.S. from Japan, rising from a promising 65cc grom to the current top rider on the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team. Along the way he’s become the first Japanese rider to win an AMA Supercross, and now the first to win an AMA Pro Motocross National. He’s also picking up plenty of fan support for his racecraft on the track and his charisma off of it. We caught up with “Jo Motocross” just as the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship was winding down and he was holding on to second in the 250 Class, right between friends and former teammates Jett and Hunter Lawrence.
