If you’re ever looking for the center of the supercross world, look no further than the Big A outside Anaheim, California’s Angel Stadium. More supercross races have run beneath its halo than any other building in the world, which is convenient because Anaheim is near the heart of the American motorcycling industry. It’s also the traditional opening round for Monster Energy AMA Supercross, as well as the only facility that still features more than one round of this series, sometimes hosting as many as three.
Add it all up and Anaheim is a very good place for the world’s best supercross racers to look for answers—answers about your talent, your bike, your team, your conditioning, your speed, your everything. If you have a good grasp on most of the answers by the time you see that Big A in your rearview mirror, you still have a chance to make the necessary adjustments to your program before it’s too late in the championship.
With that in mind, we went to the two Anaheims (and Houston in between) to see how each brand was approaching the 2018 season and to see what they found under the Big A.
