Steve Matthes

Steve Matthes is a Canadian-born Freelance Journalist who before he started pecking away at the keyboard was a factory and privateer mechanic on the sx/mx circuit for 11 years. He worked for such riders as Kelly Smith, Shaun Kalos, Nick Wey and the love of his life, Tim Ferry. He's well-connected in the industry and writes with a sharp wit. Most people are tired of him bringing up the '99 Summercross win he scored with Ferry as well as informing everybody of everything Canadian all the time but we put up with it. Steve is married, lives in Las Vegas with his wife Angie and their four foster Bassett Hounds named Annie, Hank, Fred and Hogan. Steve Matthes on Google+
