Jeff Emig Named Husqvarna Brand Ambassador
Four-time AMA National Champion and current Monster Energy Supercross analyst Jeff Emig has been closely linked with Kawasaki for most of his career, which makes today's news that he's become a Brand Ambassador for Husqvarna pretty surprising. Unless you want to pretend that the white Yamahas Emig rode in the early 1990s where Huskys, this is the first look at Emig on that brand. There is a larger plan for all of this, though.
Here's a snip from today's Husqvarna press release:
The timing of this new partnership aligns perfectly with the recent formation of the United States Motorcycle Coaching Association (USMCA); a not-for-profit organization founded by industry professionals who came together for the greater good of the industry, the sport, the coach and the rider. Emig’s primary focus as a brand ambassador is to engage on behalf of Husqvarna with the USMCA. The creation of the USMCA is aimed at lowering the barriers to entry for new motorcyclists, enhancing the safety of riders, setting standards of best practices and raising the overall level of professionalism in the motorcycle industry.
Sounds intriguing. The release says more info on the USMCA will be released soon.
As for Emig, he states in the PR: "Husqvarna has such a rich heritage in motorcycling, and I am proud to be a part of the brand moving forward. Since 1903, Husqvarna has been pioneering advancements in the industry. Now, with the formation of the US Motorcycle Coaching Association (USMCA), it gives me a great opportunity to contribute to the future of the sport that I love so much. Not to mention, what blast it was to jump on the all new TC 250 2-stroke! My passion for motorcycles aligns perfectly with Husqvarna, so I’m looking forward to working together with Husqvarna and creating a better future for the new riders to come."
"We are thrilled to have Jeff partner with Husqvarna Motorcycles as Brand Ambassador," says current advisor and acting president of the USMCA, Mark Blackwell. "His enthusiasm for this iconic, pioneering brand is tremendous. I am especially excited about his enthusiasm for the USMCA initiative and believe his support will be very helpful as the word of this effort spreads and gains support and momentum."
