Mechanix Wear Releases Specialty Vent Work Glove
Los Angeles, CA. – Summer is here and when the heat is on – the gloves come off to catch a breeze. The Specialty Vent glove provides working hands with evaporative cooling on those sauna-like workdays with its fully ventilated design. The durable synthetic leather palm is fully perforated and the breathable mesh back‐of‐hand circulates air throughout the entire glove keeping your hands cool while you work.
The Specialty Vent glove was developed with professional supercross and NASCAR mechanics to provide better breathability when working in the pits under hot and humid conditions. In addition to full ventilation, the glove features a low-profile top-closure to improve wrist mobility when turning wrenches, and a convenient micro-fleece thumb panel to wipe away perspiration.
“The sweltering heat during outdoor national races can be challenging for mechanics as they tune bikes between motos. Last summer our Pro-Circuit mechanics asked if we could improve the ventilation of our existing Vent glove, and incorporate the slim‐fit design of our high-dexterity Original® 0.5mm glove into a new model. The result…the Specialty Vent glove,” says Ted Abdon, Mechanix Wear’s director of racing.
Monster Energy Pro-Circuit Kawasaki mechanic, Oliver Stone, has worked closely with Mechanix Wear on developing the Specialty Vent glove over the past year. “The lightweight, slim‐fit design and high‐dexterity palm allows us to pick up the smallest items while giving you the protection and cooling required during the hottest outdoor national races. Hands down my favorite glove.”
