Anthony Rodriguez to Miss Glen Helen
Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha will be down two riders for Round 2 of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross from Glen Helen. Cooper Webb is out after sustaining two torn ligaments and an ankle sprain at the opening round at Hangtown last weekend. His teammate Anthony Rodriguez will also miss the race after crashing earlier this week practicing at Perris Raceway. Rodriguez said on Instagram that the crash was the result of “another rider crossing the track without paying attention.”
Jeremy Martin, the current points leader, and rookie Aaron Plessinger will line up for the team at Glen Helen.
Rodriguez released the following on Instagram:
“Disappointed to announce that I won’t be able to compete at Glen Helen due to a crash I had on Tuesday at Perris during practice. The crash was a result of another rider crossing the track without paying attention. It was out of my hand and there was nothing I could of done to prevent it….but keeping my chin up no matter what, and I’ll be back to riding as soon as I can.”
