Red Bull Straight Rhythm ... For the Fans
From Red Bull
As motocross fans eagerly await Red Bull Straight Rhythm on October 4, they now have a little something to tide them over. Two new concepts are launching this week that allow fans to be a part of the event—digitally, that is. Whether they want to ride the track (the Mad Skills MX version) or create their own “braaap soundtrack" to 2013 Red Bull Straight Rhythm highlights, they now can.
Check out the both concepts launching today:
Red Bull MotorMouth
You know that guy. The one that can make the most realistic dirt bike sounds with nothing but his mouth. Perhaps you are that guy. Now, Red Bull is creating a platform to showcase those amazing skills—Red Bull MotorMouth. This interactive website allows fans to record audio tracks over several videos recorded at the “proof of concept” for Red Bull Straight Rhythm in 2013. Choose from multiple angles and from riders including Ryan Dungey, James Stewart, Cole Seely, Malcolm Stewart, Marvin Musquin, and Jessy Nelson. Hit record and supply your own sound effects—shifting gears, panic revs and whoop chatter—and share your videos with your friends via social media. Stewart and Musquin will pick their favorites and award them with a custom painted Red Bull Straight Rhythm Bell helmet. Are you the “King of Braaap?” Prove it! www.redbullmotormouth.com
To kick it all off, Cole Seely, Malcolm Stewart, Jessy Nelson, and Shane McElrath gave it their best shot—with mixed results. Check out the video below:
Mad Skills Motocross 2
Red Bull Straight Rhythm is very much like a real-life version of Mad Skills Motocross 2, and to celebrate that fact, the game will create two virtual Red Bull Straight Rhythm tracks for fans to play. The 2013 “proof of concept” track was unveiled on September 18 as part of the Jam function, and starting on September 25, fans will be able to “ride” the track that the pros will race on for the October 4 event in Pomona. There will also be prizes given away to top players, including custom Red Bull Straight Rhythm Bell helmets signed by Travis Pastrana.
