British motocross legend Dave Bickers has passed away after suffering a stroke. He was 76 years old.
Bickers was a popular "scrambles" rider in the sixties and seventies, appearing on four winning teams for Great Britain in the annual Motocross and Trophee des Nations. He was also a part of the early years of American motocross, joining other international stars who came to race in the states in the Inter-Am and Trans-AMA Series. After racing, he began working as a stunt man for Roger Moore, who was the star of several "James Bond 007" films.
Here is more on the late Dave Bickers.
