Bowers Crowned Costa Rican Champion
San Jose, CR. – The Pasion MX Kawasaki team would like to congratulate Tyler Bowers on clinching the 2013 MX1 Costa Rican National Championship. This past weekend marked the ninth and final round of the series championship in Pista La Olla. Bowers would put in a dominating performance aboard his Pro Circuit backed Kawasaki on Sunday as he took the overall win via 1-1 moto scores.
One week after the three time Arenacross champion rode to victory at the Las Vegas Supercross, he found himself lining up for round two of the Costa Rican Nationals. Having missed the opening round due to his Supercross obligations, Bowers, would overcome a 50 point deficit in a hard fought battle with 2012 champion Roberto Castro.
“I had a great summer experiencing the culture, seeing the beauty, and racing in the country of Costa Rica. I’m happy to be able to bring home a championship on top of such an exceptional opportunity that team owner Marisol Rios provided me” mentions Bowers.
It was a fantastic year for the Pasion MX Kawasaki squad as they also clinched the MX2 & 85cc championships with Alejandro Rojas and Justin Alvarado.
Thanks To: Team owner Marisol Rios-Reid, Federico Campabadal, Todo Motor Kawasaki of Costa Rica, Mitch Payton, Bones, Pro Circuit, Lucas Oil, VRC, Powerbar, and Dubya USA.
