Dedicated Athletics St. Louis Recap

Thursday, March 7, 2013 | 8:55 AM

Supercross headed to St Louis, MO for the third round of the 250 East Coast class. Dedicated Athletics rider Jimmy DeCotis #613 looked to better his 14th place finish from last week in Atlanta,GA. DeCotis came into the day feeling extremely under the weather with severe flu symptoms. The symptoms almost prevented DeCotis from racing. DeCotis fought through and qualified 17th. In his heat race (Heat #2), DeCotis had an improved start over the previous week. DeCotis rode hard and  battled for 5th with #393 Daniel Herlein for several laps. DeCotis finished 6th sending him straight to the main event.

In the main event, DeCotis again had an improved start over last week. DeCotis came around the first lap in 7th. DeCotis laid down solid consistent laps despite suffering from the Flu. DeCotis left it all out on the track and finished 7th topping his season best 8th in Arlington, TX. After three rounds of competitive racing, DeCotis sits 8th in points as the series heads to Daytona, FL next week.

Dedicated Athletics is extremely proud to be a part of DeCotis’ racing efforts. We would like to thank High Octane Harley Davidson, Fox, Spectro Oils, Pro Circuit, 100%, Ryno Power, DC Shoes, Factory Connection, Ever Rev, CRF Stuff, Hinson, Dunlop and Renthal.
