BTOSports KTM Race Report

Tuesday, February 26, 2013 | 1:05 PM

Atlanta, GA - The BTO Sports – KTM team rocked Atlanta Saturday night as round eight of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series took over the Georgia Dome.

Andrew Short made his debut on the BTO Sports – KTM team this weekend in Atlanta and looked strong through qualifying, placing himself 16th in the field.  As the gate dropped for the 450SX heat race, the Pirelli Scorpion MX tires would propel Short to a holeshot.  Short would hold steady for a 2nd place finish. In the main, Andrew would get a good start and run inside the top ten until washing out the front end. He would charge his way back up to finish 14th.  Andrew is 7th in points.Matt Goerke felt good and on the gas throughout qualifying, as he would post the 13th fastest time. With his Smith Goggles providing clear vision, Matt would blast out of the gate in his heat and never look back to finish a strong 6th.  In the main, he would spin the rear tire coming out of the gate and battled right outside the top ten finishing in the 11th spot.  Matt leaves Atlanta 10th in points.“First weekend on the BTO Sports – KTM went really well” said Andrew Short “I had an awesome heat race, finishing second and in the main I started good, but washed the front end. I gained a lot of valuable experience on the new bike and will become more competitive each week.”For more information on the BTO Sports - KTM team, visit www.btosportsracing.comThank you to our list of 2013 season team sponsors:
