Well, I wonder if Ely and James were injured in all the carnage that went down in Oakland. Sad that I think of the injuries right away, but after a year like last year, it's hard not to.

therealmofo wrote: 8:35am January 28, 2013

LOL!! A couple Stewtards on here just trying to stir up crap, just because Stewart is usually the one doing the carnage, so now they are trying to call out Reed.. And Stewart even tried to blame Reed... Didnt Stewart get out of control and totally drive Reed over a berm a year or maybe two ago?? Yes, how many times has Stewart caused a ton of carnage on the track?? Several--And not once have I heard or seen where BILLC has ever said something similar to what he just wrote about Reed---Kinda hypocritical right BILLC?????

I call that one like it really was, an very unfortunate racing incident Reed got out of shape, very little actually, and Grant and Reed made contact, and it was over because of the crown in the whoops...period.. If that happens on lap 2 or 3, no problems because the riders a spread out by then.. But of course BIILC loves to start crap about his boy Stewart, and we all know MXMOFO is a huge Stewtard, so he will chime in

@MXMOFO--how many different names will you comment under today?? We all saw you comment on your own post the other day, you just screwed up and was already logged in under the "MXMOFO" username, you answered your own comment ,, yes we all saw it..

SX sucks. Every year it is hyped up to be the greatest season ever and it never lives up to it. Riders just get hurt doing stupid things on dirt bikes.

mxmofo1 wrote: 9:20am January 28, 2013

@therealmofo ,,, hmmm, I believe Emig also blamed Reed,, calling him a "ping pong ball" or something like that.. Do you remember that? As far as your last paragraph, I really have no idea what you are talking about,, like usual..

Reed got out of shape " very little actually?" Spoken like a true Reed fan.... Just ask Stewert, Canard, Grant, Dungey, Barcia ( hopefully he will be ok). I may have forgot a few riders..

We all know things like this happen,, but when Reed doesnt cause it, he cries like a baby when he gets interviewed about it.. He's the "hypocrite."

Watched the crash again and yes Reed gets out of shape, but as he going down none other than Josh Grant plows into into and drives him up into Stewart. So from JS point of view he thinks it was all Reed. Yes Reed got out of shape, but the real damage was done by Grant pushing up into Reed.

If the races were longer starts might not be so
dangerous. If you get a bad start the chances the riders take is ridiculous. I think injuries might be cut down. I think 20 laps is too short. The riders dont even look tired. I remember at the end of races they would take there helmets off and there heads would be steaming.Guys used to drop there bikes at the end of a motocross. I know this is a sprint , but I would love to see some endurance come into play. Maybe just change it at certain tracks to give us something to look forward to,cause these races on the west are getting boring.Once you see Anahiem they are all the same. Atlanta and Daytona please get here! How about a 40 or 50 Lapper with an easier track. Strategy would come into play and I would like to see the guys tongues dragging the ground when there finished. Please do something different once in a while. We might miss some heat races on tv,but 50 laps would fill up a one hour tv package

Profile Picture
AGMAN wrote: 10:25am January 28, 2013

True that @mxmofo1. Looked like a mess from any vantage point, just crappy as it made for a BORING race.

@AGMAN ,, Yes it did. Having whoops or a triple right after the start is not very smart in my opinion.

Stewart certainly has an undeniable history of taking out Windham multiple times, Reed multiple times, Preston, Thomas, etc. However, in his defense, Stewart has actually taken himself out more times that all the other guys put together. That is racing and that is Stewart’s go for broke riding style. It is great to watch and when he wins it is a marvel to behold. If you watch qualifying on SupercrossLive, Stewart looks awesome in practice. I suspect traffic in the Main event, lots of good riders in the Main, and multiple laps are playing havoc on a guy almost 30 that has a lot of injuries and is possibly only out there to promote a new clothing line. I suspect he does not need the money, criticism, or more injuries.

Makes you really respect Carmichael. He walked away on top and when he could have won SX and MX for the next 4-5 seasons. I expect the same from RV. He will kick ass for this and 2 more seasons and then walk away (his stated plan – he said when his 3 yr Kawi contract is up he is walking away). If he has a bad injury like St. Louis, I suspect he will just hang it up. Either way, enjoy watching RV because one of the greats will not be around too much longer.

I blame the people responsible for approving that track design.

Nobody wants the competitors sidelined with injury. As the "responsible person in charge", Feld needs to do everything in their power to assure a safe event. I don't think that was achieved on Saturday night. Add in that we're still early in the series, maybe they should have simplified the track design to extend their entertainers' ability to perform.

Even having your least favorite rider hurt is still bad for the sport, the paying customers, TV, the competition and all concerned.

As an "anti-Stewart guy", I can see how the Stewtards would want to jump on the bandwagon. We have SO many opportunities to bag on #7 for wrecking this or that, it must be a change of pace for them to be the finger-pointers. How's it feel guys? Was it worth the wait?

@BILLC the sad part is everyhting I wrote was true. BILL you have NEVER said anything similar about Stewart under the same circumstances.. What about Dallas in 2011 Bill, stewart came out of the whoop section completly out of control and drove Reed completly off the track.. You defended Stewart, never said anything about him that he did anything wrong..Here you said "Reed takes out half the pack" That makes you a hypocrite, whether you want to hear it or not..And everyone knows MXMOFO is all for Stewart and only Stewart, so we expect him to rag on Reed, just to try and get guys back for bagging on Stewart for all the times he has been out of control..

Profile Picture
mxmofo1 wrote: 12:23pm January 28, 2013

@therealmofo ,, I'm not bagging on Reed at all. Its just the fact that when Reed takes out about 5 of the top guys, you guys try and make it right by saying that JS has done it also.. What comes around, goes around.. As I said before, this stuff happens.. When Reed tries to win, he rides over his head and crashes... Same with all the guys.

Profile Picture

BillC wrote: 12:37pm January 28, 2013

the realmofo, Reed made a mistake and the end result was half the pack got screwed, never said Reed is dumb or took out people on purpose. Why are you so sensative about Reed??

.I never defended JS for that, i said he screwed up, Thats all wile people like you said he did it because Reed passed him like he ment to do it or something.

Profile Picture
therealmofo wrote: 12:44pm January 28, 2013

I have never said Stewart took out Reed or anyone else on purpose..NEVER, You are just so quick to jump on Reed first thing and point out he caused the crash.. And YOU NEVER would do that to Stewart, that is what I pointed out.. So tell me I am wrong, you know its the truth..

Profile Picture
therealmofo wrote: 12:49pm January 28, 2013

@MXMOFO He took down 5 of the top guys?? I saw Barcia down, and Canard and Dungey got slowed up, but thats the only top guys I saw in it..

And like I said, I took issue with it because you and Billy jumped in quick to rip on Reed, and you would never do that if it was Stewart..I am not a huge Reed fan, but I do have alot of respect for the things he has done in this sport, something most Stewtards dont have..

Profile Picture
mxmofo1 wrote: 1:06pm January 28, 2013

@therealmofo,, I think you need to read a little better, or maybe just a little, slower? And, yes, if JS had done that, I would have called him on it.. You don't know me very well..

Profile Picture
BillC wrote: 1:33pm January 28, 2013

It's funny how saing Reed caused a big mess get's therealmofo all wound up. I don't care who's fault it was, IF RV caused it I would have said to bad RV took out half the pack. man You really need to grow up and let go of your hate of JS.

Jeeze these track builders,or the dumb bast#### that design/pay for whatever. Its a joke ,checkout the tracks from yesteryear, just as exiciting without all the stupid jumps, these promoters want to see crashes, and profit from torn knee ligaments or worse, bring back two smokers, and put the bikes on the ground more, you wont see hardly anyone getting hurt, and the racing will be just as good

Profile Picture
tpayne wrote: 5:10pm January 28, 2013

Well, you gotta admit a 180 first turn followed by a whoop section sure makes for added excitement huh?
I notice this year an increasing number of turns where the rider is rolled to one side in the air before landing. I love the way that changes the racing dynamic with all the riders angled off the side of the bike in the air....makes landing a bit more tricky though. And the speed of RV through the sand corned.......slammin, railing, bouncing, groovin, ...all with his feet on the pegs......WOW!
I like sx

Profile Picture
therealmofo wrote: 6:17pm January 28, 2013

@BILLY I will say it again.. Its not the fact that it was Reed you commented on, its the fact that you were so quick to throw out about Reed causing the crash, you NEVER did that about all the crashes Stewart caused, that was my point there Mr. Simpleminded,,

@MXMOFO--dont know what point you are trying to make, you said Reed took out 5 top riders, and the only ones I saw down were Barcia,-- and Dungey and Canard were slowed a bit, there wasnt 5 top guys down, so what were you saying I missed??

Profile Picture

Profile Picture

@ mxmofo1, I was just making light of the situation.

As I stated, the real culprit was the track. That was a foolish track design that "could have" taken out Stewart, Barcia, Reed, Grant and a host of others. How that makes for better racing is completely beyond me.

Profile Picture
fred wrote: 7:02pm January 28, 2013

I don't give a damn what anybody says.I've watched the replay over and over.It was Turd Grants fault. If Reed had not of been there ol Turd still would of took somebody out.Probably Stewart. He has been trying to do that for the past two weeks. He would of had Stewart lined up for the perfect T-bone.I say Grant was on the inside of that turn and would of came in to hot and flat t-boned Stewart.Like I've said I watched it over and over and I say it was Turds fault.

Profile Picture

I will also agree that the track was part of the problem.

Everyone bags on Dungey for his approach to racing clean, smart and picking your spots to stick a wheel in on somebody but it would be a much better series with almost all the top guys in it until the end if they all road like he and Millsaps. I mean, let's face it, there is a really good chance that RV, Stewart, TC, Barcia and Reed will crash and take somebody with them in a few races and when the Dunge is left standing, everybody will start with the "what ifs" and "yeah buts".....

Keep riding the way you are Dungey!!
