BTOSports KTM A2 Report
Anaheim,CA – The BTO Sports - KTM team rolled in to Anaheim for Round 3 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship Series Saturday with confidence, looking to improve upon last week’s race.
Matt Goerke felt strong during the day, as he would qualify in the 17th spot. As the gate dropped for heat two, Matt would start up towards the front, riding smooth and staying out of trouble. He would claim a spot in the main event with a 7th place in the heat race. In the 450SX main, the Pirelli tires hooked up out of the gate for Matt and propelled him to a great start. He would battle within the top ten all race with Justin Brayton and Josh Grant. As the checkered flag fell, Matt would cross the line in 9th place, his best this season.Les Smith continues to improve and impress, as this week he qualified in the 15th spot. With the adrenaline pumping, the FMF exhaust powered Les hard out of the gate in his heat to almost take the holeshot. He would run in second place for the first part of the race until a couple mistakes would take him out of a qualifying spot. In the LCQ, Less would start well, but would come up short as he finished 6th. As Les gains more confidence, look for him to make the main next week at Oakland.
“I am very happy at Matt’s ride tonight. He did his homework during the week and came prepared tonight. This is where we should be, inside the top ten every week.” Team manager Forrest Butler said.Thank you to our list of 2013 season team sponsors:
