Well, that was pretty straight forward, however not good news for anyone to hear just two races in. I wish him the best for the rest of the SX season, and one can only speculate about the outdoors at this point. Bummer Dude! Nobody likes to hear about injuries, unless their sick in the ole cranium...And if their out there you can read it in the comments below. As usual!

Here he comes.....checkers or wreckers

Bummer that he's not 100% for this series, but since he's not too worked up about it the fans shouldn't be either. There are a bunch of podium threats and if you're not 100% mentally and physically it's tough to get on the box. I agree with JT that there isn't much of a chance that JS cautiously rides around in 8th for too many more rounds, so we better root for him while he's lining up . . . Metty or IT9 or Regal or somebody should be on that bike if JS pulls out, but he said he isn't planning on pulling out last Saturday after the heat so we'll see.

Glad to see he's still going to race. That's a tad risky though.

Career ending. I don't see the point in pushing the issue on an injury. Just throw in the towel and retire already James.

Wiles715. What an idiot comment about comparing him to the world trade centers. Like James or not it is better when he is in there racing. I hope he rides the whole series and gets better as it goes on.

James,

Very cool straight forward interview! You will have many more fans rooting for you because of it. And this was the right place, RacerX! to do it.
Stay in the series as long as you can! Good Luck! And yeah, keep away from Grant!

Nice scoop Davey!

Like mentioned earlier - Checkers or wreckers! lol

Not the biggest JS7 fan but without doubt he is exciting to watch ride.

I think he will play it smart if he starts mid pack.

But if he starts up front he will go all out to win.

I will be at Anaheim on saturday and I would love to see a first lap top three of bam bam, rv2 and js7.
For me that could be insane.
(well insane, carnage, exciting).

Props to js7 for doing the interview and saying he is going to get on with it and see where he ends up.

Hopefully no-one else picks up any injuries this week.

RV took his glove off because his gas cap came off in the crash and he got gas on his hand.

I sure do like the 'new' James Stewart, he seems humble and all business. If he ends up tenth overall for the year with a torn ACL, he'll gain so much more fan respect than if he takes the season off for surgery/recovery. Heck, his 9th at '11 Daytona was the most memorable 9th place finish I've ever seen.

Profile Picture
rcx1 wrote: 1:36am January 18, 2013

@corndog I agree. I'd rather see him finish outside the top 5 overrall than not finish the series at all. He needs to progress, finish the series, do his best. If he can't win the championship this year, it's a step in the right direction and next year he'll have gotten back into the swing of things. Completing an entire series, I think he'll be more comfortable next season. It would suck to see him get seriously injured again though.

Yer agree corndog. Many props to JS7. The arrogant bubbaa world character is long behind. No matter whether he wins, 8th's or dnf, he deserves credit for now excuses and just going out and riding hard.

B-KR wrote: 7:29am January 18, 2013

I'm glad he will be continuing, but what I'm wondering is why he was riding cautious due to the knee. If he didn't know what the injuy was, he had to assume the worst-case in being cautious. With an ACL pretty much being the worst case scenario, how does knowing that make him able to go for it now? Unless he hadn't seen any doctor at all since it happened and now he will be riding with it shot up and stuff? It will only take one foot plant in a turn at the right angle...... I just don't see why he will be able to go for it this week and not last. I think as hard as it will be for him, he will end up deciding the season is over within the next 6 races or so.

I like James Stewart and I am glad he came clean. I believe he will still win the title is he doesn't end up sticking his foot somewhere.

He does seem more humble and that's good.. He's a good kid and I would imagine he will win very soon.

He is alot tougher than people give him credit for

WHAT?! STRAIGHT FORWARD?
I can't believe most of you guys are actually falling for this crap... AGAIN!!!
REALLY!?

There is nothing wrong with JS, other than his own head! Come on now, think about it... He's not really "injured". When is the last time that he really even wanted to RACE, for that matter? He's the fastest practicing (but mostly talking) man on the planet, I will grant him that dubious honor.

It's that damn yellow bike!!!
SO ill handling - everyone knows that.
He CAN'T WIN on that ill handling yellow bike. The Zplooke is clearly only built for tall guys (Millsaps - last year - the only guy always there, riding ultimately to 2nd place in the Championship)...
I mean, come on, just look at Alessi for God sake, if you need more "proof".

Am I really the only that noticed JS7 almost IMMEDIATELY started his lawn darting routine on that yellow bike EVEN MORE than the past two (blue, & green before that) bikes that he crashed regularly... And let's be honest, THAT is a hard task to accomplish... for anyone.

To blame ANY of his continued piss-poor-racing-performance on an "injury"... Well, that's just shameless!

I mean, CLEARLY this is an ill-handling bike issue...
YEA, IT'S CLEARLY A BIKE PROBLEM!!!

If its just a partial tear it will heal which I think he has.. Because in an interview on during the races he said it would be fins at the end of the year, just not now.. So it sounds like an injury that will heal...

STOPtyping-STARTRIDING wrote: 5:46pm January 18, 2013

caseypons: I'm sorry that you are brand new to our sport, but welcome nonetheless...

Check out the past three or four years of SX racing and get back to us when you are up to speed there, turbo!

It's clear you are sadly out of touch, and need help being brought up to speed with REALITY!

Good luck, I think you will enjoy JS7's WILD & BUMPY ride - it's hugely entertaining, and usually more fiction than fact, but amusing for sure...
