Moto Star Phoenix ReportThursday, January 17, 2013 | 11:45 AM
Santa Barbara, Ca- Chase Field was the 2nd stop this week in AMA Supercross and the site of another 2013 Moto Star stop on the Pro schedule.
In the 450's Rock River rider Ben LaMay was looking good but tuff starts got him again in in his heat races and he missed the main but looks to be ready for A2 next week! Munn Racing's Scotty Wennerstrom was "REPPIN the STAR" but came up a bit short to making the night show but ready to line up for A2! Austin Howell rode his Moto Star backed 450 in the night show strong and was in the mix but missed the main by a few spots, look for him to rep the star like a boss all year! Jarred Browne was flying all day and made it into the night program but came up a bit short to make it into the main. "First race in 9 months was a little rough, wasn't quite ready to be racing yet but was so happy to be racing. Goal is to stay healthy and use this year to rebuild!" Look for Jarred to improve on this next week at A2!
In the 250's West Cody Church took the fans to Moto Star Church on his KXF but missed the night show by only a little bit! Look for great things from him as the tour goes back to A2. Cody Young was on gas all day only to come up a little bit short to making the night show. Looking for him to do big things as the year goes on! Alex Nagy was looking good on his Munn / Moto Star bike all day but just came up a little short to make the night program. More testing this week will have him ready for A2!
