Bolt Motorcycle Supports Peick
Bolt Motorcycle Hardware is proud to be the official hardware supplier for Weston Peick's RMZ 450 in the 2013 Supercross season. Company owner Dave Nichols said, "We are excited to be helping Peick this year and consider him to be one of the most accomplished privateers out there. I did not know him personally before this season, but I had watched and appreciated him as a gritty, hard-charging privateer. When I approached him with company support, I found he was already using our products and he was enthusiastic to form a partnership. As I have gotten to know him, I have learned how badly he wants to race, overcoming many obstacles. I have a ton of respect for that. I am glad to be working with a rider that can push our products to the max while racing some of the fastest racers in the world. We hope to help him along the way to even greater accomplishments in his racing career."
Weston's father, Louie Peick, who has been working on Weston's bikes throughout his career said: "Weston and I were happy to get a sponsorship from Bolt Motorcycle Hardware. We have been using Bolt's hardware for as long as we have been racing. We still have bolt kits from racing Hondas, Yamahas and Kawasaki's. Top quality and we really like the chain adjuster blocks."
Weston Peick has worked very hard in his racing career. He earned seven amateur titles as a privateer without support from factories. Since turning pro in 2009, he has continued to work very hard to get to where he is now. Weston rode his first pro national in 2009 and raced to a 9th place finish at Glen Helen. This was enough to impress Mike Genova from Moto Concepts and the very next week he signed Weston with the team for the remainder of the 2009 outdoors series. But the “lucky break” ended and in 2010-11 Weston went on to ride for Rock River as a privateer. In the 2011 Outdoor Nationals, he signed with Chaplin Kawasaki but the team fell apart before the drop of the first gate, so Weston rode a Kawasaki as a privateer. During the 2012 Supercross season he once again rode on his own privateer Kawasaki for half the season and then was picked up as a mid-season replacement rider for Rockstar Yamaha. The 2012 Outdoor Nationals found Weston in only two rounds as a privateer on a Suzuki and placed top 10 in both races. Weston then decided to race in in Europe. He comes into SX 2013 with luck seemingly on his side riding for the newly formed MB1 Motorsports HyerX Racewear team aboard a 2013 Suzuki RMZ 450 and fresh off of wins in Tempere, Finland and Athens, Greece.
